Angela M. Povolish is an experienced attorney serving Southern Illinois with a practice focused on real estate, estate planning, probate, and business law. With over two decades of legal experience, she is known for providing practical, results-driven guidance tailored to each client’s needs. She remains dedicated to helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate important legal decisions with confidence and clarity.
A native of Murphysboro, Illinois, Ms. Povolish has deep roots in the Southern Illinois community. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, summa cum laude, from Elmira College. She went on to obtain both a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, with a focus on public law and political philosophy. She later earned her Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis.
Before entering private practice, Ms. Povolish served as an instructor at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, teaching courses in political science and administration of justice.
Ms. Povolish has extensive experience handling complex legal matters, including real estate transactions and litigation, estate planning, probate administration, and business formation. She is also a certified mediator and guardian ad litem in the First Judicial Circuit, allowing her to effectively assist clients in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
